How to make homemade milk-free cream and Nutella ice cream
To make milk-free cream and Nutella ice cream at home, take a long and narrow aluminum or metal tray - we used a loaf pan - and pour in the whipping cream. Seal the tray with plastic wrap and let it freeze in the freezer for at least 4 hours.
After the time has passed, the cream will be a single frozen block. Remove it from the freezer, take off the plastic wrap, and then flip the tray onto a cutting board, allowing warm running water to flow over the metal bottom of the tray. This will cause the block of cream to separate and fall onto the cutting board. Remove the tray and use a long, smooth knife to cut the frozen cream into 0.79-inch cubes.
Put the cream cubes in a blender, add 5.29 oz of Nutella, and blend until the two ingredients are thoroughly mixed. At this point, the cream and Nutella ice cream is ready to be scooped into bowls and served with additional Nutella for decoration, along with chopped hazelnuts or ice cream wafers!
Conservation
Once ready, you can store the cream and Nutella ice cream in an airtight container in the freezer for one week.
Tips
You can use this recipe by substituting Nutella with another flavor that you like: replace it with pistachio cream, peanut butter, jam, or fruit coulis. Add cookies, wafers, or chocolate pieces to enrich your ice cream.
