Instructions
How to make an orange donut with water
To make an orange donut with water, start by pouring all the water and the filtered juice of two oranges into a large bowl. Blend to mix.
While blending the two liquid ingredients, add the sugar to dissolve it completely.
When a white foam forms on the surface, gradually pour in the oil and continue blending.
Now we can add the remaining ingredients: flour, the two orange zests, and finally, the baking powder. Pour in the flour while blending at medium speed and continue working the dough for a few minutes to avoid lumps.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) and prepare the donut mold (using the same one we used) by greasing it with oil and dusting it with flour or using a non-stick cooking spray. When the oven reaches the desired temperature, bake in convection mode for about 40 minutes.
Check the donut's doneness with a toothpick before removing from the oven. Your eggless and butterless orange donut with water is ready to be served with a light dusting of powdered sugar!
Tips
You can serve the orange donut with water either with powdered sugar or with a delicious dark chocolate glaze, which has always been a great match for the orange flavor. If you want to make this donut gluten-free, you can substitute all-purpose flour with rice flour and potato starch.
Conservation
The orange donut with water can be stored for a maximum of 3 days under a glass dome and will remain extremely soft.
